Make a difference for our central colorado wildlands

Donate now to protect Central Colorado’s irreplaceable public lands and the vulnerable wildlife and communities who depend on them.

Your Gift protects a wild future

A smiling bobcat in a Wild Connections supporter's backyard in Woodland Park —a beautiful reminder that the wild places we protect are often right in our own neighborhoods.
These felines and their families are just one of the many species that depend on the wildlife corridors and restored habitats that Wild Connections works tirelessly to safeguard. Our dedicated staff turns your generosity into tangible protection, ensuring that wildlife can move safely across our region and that the ecosystems we all share remain resilient.
Your support makes this possible. By donating today, you are investing in the future of Colorado's wild heritage and the creatures that call it home. Whether it's $50 for native seeds or a monthly commitment to sustain our advocacy, every gift helps us keep these vital connections open.

The Jean Smith Legacy Fund

The Jean Smith Legacy Fund honors Jean and the wild places she protected. Your donation sustains the organization she started over 30 years ago. This fund is ongoing—just like Jean's legacy—ensuring her work continues for generations. For over thirty years, Jean Smith, the founder of Wild Connections, made an enormous contribution in time, effort, and inspiration to our organization. We are asking you to make a special donation to Wild Connections in memory of Jean in order to continue her work. Jean Smith, who passed on in November 2025 at age 92, was the guiding light behind Wild Connections from its beginning 30 years ago. After founding Wild Connections in 1995, she remained active with, and a vital part of our organization for the rest of her life. She recognized that while it is important to protect wild areas, it is also important to protect the corridors, or “wild connections,” linking these areas, so as to keep them from becoming isolated “islands” of biodiversity. She was both an inspiration and a major contributor to our success as an organization, serving in many roles from member of the Board of Directors to webmaster and data management coordinator. Our work is work for which she cared deeply.
