CONSERVATION
Conservation Vision
Wild Connections' vision for the South Platte and Arkansas Rivers headwaters basins is found in the Wild Connections Conservation Plan (WCCP). This visionary plan was created by citizens using information from roadless area inventories, biological data and input from local workshops.
This regional ecosystem protection strategy forges a link in the Western Wildway promoted by The Wildlands Network, part of the unbroken chain of North American wildlands.

Climate change is real across Colorado, North America and the whole planet. Wild Connections is identifying climate refugia at this decisive time for our wildlife, forests, canyons and meadows.
The WCCP was created by people who share a deep concern for the well-being of public lands spread across the Arkansas and South Platte headwaters.
