Browns Canyon National Monument Climate HikeSaturday, November 16
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Join Wild Connections and Friends of Browns Canyon for a hike down middle Cottonwood Creek in Browns Canyon National Monument, starting from Bassam Park.
This will be a moderate hike of about 6 miles round-trip and 1,000 feet total ascent, with scenic views of the Monument as well as the Sawatch Range/Collegiate Peaks across the valley.
We will also be retrieving data loggers that have been recording temperature, humidity and other data for the past few weeks. Browns Canyon National Monument was identified as being one of the “Best” areas for Climate Refugia in Wild Connections Climate Corridor and Refugia Analysis. Learn more on the hike!
For details or to sign up, contact John Sztukowski at (817) 939-4239 or john@wildconnections.org.
