For 25 years citizens and conservation organizations have worked together to protect central Colorado's wild areas. Wildlife habitat, streams and wetlands, locations of unusual biodiversity, places where quiet recreation reigns, and stunning scenic vistas are better because those efforts.
The map shows locations where we've all worked together since 1995. Major inventories of Pike-San Isabel National Forest and Royal Gorge Bureau of Land Management lands paved the way for on-the-ground habitat restoration projects and citizen involvement in both agency's long range management planning.
Wild Connections' mission is to identify, protect, and restore wildlands, native species,
and biological diversity in the Arkansas and South Platte watersheds.
